The Beer Drinker likes to accuse me of cribbing from Portsmouth Herald food/beer/martini editor Rachel Forrest, as I often link to her posts about various restaurant and bar news around town.
I consider it a form of flattery, because Rachel is clearly in the know about what’s going on around town, and she somehow appears to stay on top of things without having to drink 5 nights a week like The Beer Drinker and me.
Well, I have to say, it appears The Beer Drinking Report may be seeping into Rachel’s subconscious a bit, at least if you look at some of her recent writings.
Within the past week alone, she’s written about some of the best romantic spots in the Seacoast (sounds a lot like The Beer Drinker’s ongoing look at the best places to take a date), as well as the fact that she used to be a wine drinker but now has become a beer drinker (is that lowercase beer drinker, or upper case Beer Drinker?).
And Thursday, she reviewed the River House, which we’ve been writing about almost non-stop since it opened.
Keep up the good work, Rach. We’ll be reading. Although if your next story is about the top 5 bartenders in Portsmouth, we’re really going to start getting suspicious. Speaking of which, check back later this weekend, as I’m planning to post an updated version of my top bartenders list from last winter.
